The laser cutter (Epilog FusionPro 36) can cut & engrave materials such as paper, plywood, veneer, natural leather, sticker foil, acrylic, natural felt and natural rubber. It is being used for producing prototypes and architecture models, cutting out wristbands, creating stencils and stamps, engraving skateboards, cutting puzzles that can be assembled in 3D, etc. Search online for more inspiration of the possibilities of the laser cutter.
Laser size: The cutting area of the machine is 914 mm by 610 mm. How thick it can cut greatly depends on the material you are trying to cut. For instance, it's possible to cut through 8 mm acrylic but it won't easily cut through 2 mm solid oak. The laser cannot cut through metal, ceramics, glass or stone, but it is possible to engrave (most of) them.
