This page explains how to go over the laser for a round of general cleaning & maintenance. In case you're having issues with earlier tested settings on the laser, it's good to go over the following steps. In general the laser should be cleaned after every day of usage.

Tools

Cotton swabs, wet wipes, lens cleaning fluid and cleaning paper can be found in the drawer to the right of the machine (below the ‘Rester Plast’ drawer). If it’s not there, make sure they get ordered.

Clean the lens

Needs to updated for Epilog FusionPro 36

~~Tip: Put a piece of paper below the laser head so that screws don't accidentally fall through the bed~~

 1. ~~Remove the screws on front of the laser head manually (Be careful not to drop them down into the laser!) and remove the cover. The blue part on the inside is the lens. (Make sure to check in which place it fits to put it back in the correct position)~~

 2. Put a drop of lens cleaner on the mirror
 3. Use the lens cleaning paper and put it on top, letting the lens cleaner soak into the paper over the whole surface
 4. Pull carefully the paper of the mirror
